Bio Statement  

Yu Zhonggen, born in China and currently affiliated with Beijing Language and Culture University, holds the title of Professor and serves as a PhD/post-supervisor in English Language Linguistics. In addition to his academic background, he has also obtained a Juris-master degree from Tsinghua University and a Master's degree in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Southeast University. His research interests encompass linguistics, language educational technology, and translation, topics which he has explored through the authorship of over 140 academic papers. These works have been published in a range of prestigious journals, including SCI, SSCI, A&HCI, and CSSCI. Adding to his contributions to the field, he has also authored four monographs and serves as editor for multiple reputable international journals. He has successfully led and concluded various academic research and educational projects at both national and regional levels, such as the Chinese Academic Translation Project of National Social Science Fund, Youth Fund project of Humanities and Social Science of Ministry of Education, Social Science Fund Project of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province, "Undergraduate Teaching Reform and Innovation Project" of Beijing Higher education, in addition to numerous municipal and university-level initiatives. Furthermore, he has served as a prominent reviewer for various SSCI-indexed journals, including "Computers & Education", a distinguished publication in intelligent foreign language instruction. Additionally, he has notably demonstrated his teaching expertise by participating in numerous educational competitions, resulting in numerous accolades at the national, provincial, and university levels, including ranking first and being awarded the first prize of the Teaching Achievement Award at Hohai University in 2016. In 2018, he was identified as a third-tier talent for the fifth phase of the "333" Project in Jiangsu Province. His teaching expertise was further recognized in 2019 through his first-place win in the Information Teaching Competition at Beijing Language and Culture University. Additionally, in 2020, he received the esteemed "Star of Intelligent Teaching" distinction from the Online Education Research Center of the Ministry of Education.
